Javna opens office in Qatar

Javna, the leading Arab firm in software solutions and wireless applications, has announced the opening its office in Qatar, where it will oversee the services offered to customers there.

The step is also aimed at enhancing Javna's presence in the Gulf market that is witnessing an increasing demand on high-quality wireless communications services.

Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour said, "The inauguration of the Qatar office highlights Javna's commitment to serving its customers and its keenness on offering technical support in away that meets their needs and help them realize their aspirations. This is particularly important since wireless applications rely generally on deep understanding of the needs and individuality of companies."

"The step comes also in implementation of the company's vision to transfer its technologies to a major Arab market, and its expansion strategy in the Gulf region," he added.

Meanwhile, Javna also announced agreements it has recently signed with the Qatari foreign ministry and a number of major satellite TV stations and leading Arabic newspapers in the region. It has also concluded deals with other companies from the public and private sectors, mobile operators, financial markets and banks.

For his part, Mahmoud Iswaid, Javna's Business Development Manger in Qatar, said,

"The Gulf market is one of the largest and fast-growing Arab markets, with the highest demand on value-added mobile services. It is noted that demand on these services is not anymore limited to mobile operators. Rather, it has extended to private companies and other establishments seeking to develop their interfaces and upgrade their services. They want to spare their customers the inconvenience of personally reporting to them for services when it is possible for these customers to enquire about a service or a business or even start their transactions via the mobile without the need for routine procedures that are actually needless in light of the current technical revolution."

Iswaid said that Javna is currently engaged in implementing several contracts signed for Qatar, including the installation of a messaging platform for the foreign ministry and providing the Qatari Al Watan daily newspaper with a news caster service, including televised content.

Javna was the first Arab company that started offering mobile TV streaming. Its technical solutions and wireless applications have been received with full satisfaction by the leading TV stations it has made business with. Such achievements opened way last month for the signing of an agreement with CNBC Arabiya TV, under which the station would be broadcasting live TV content via mobiles.

Mobile TV streaming is a state-of-the-art service that appeared for the first time a year ago in a number of advanced countries in the west and the east, including Korea and Japan.
