Japanese snub Bank Saderat
- Iran: Sunday, September 17 - 2006 at 16:37
Three Japanese banks have decided to cease doing business with Iran's Bank Saderat, following a decision last week by the US to ban it entirely from its financial system, reported the Iran Daily. The banks in question are: the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, the Mizuho Corporate Bank and the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. All three have branches in the US and it is thought other Japanese banks will follow their lead.
