Batelco - Bahrain's national telecommunications company - is marking the Holy Month of Ramadan with gifts of food parcels for Bahrain's needy families.
The company has prepared more than 16,000 gift baskets containing a wide range of cooking ingredients designed to help defray the expense of Ramadan celebrations. Each 10kg parcel includes rice, sugar, two types of flour, cooking oil and tea.
"The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of generosity," says Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed AlJanahi. "We also recognize that Ramadan can be an expensive time of year and this gift is designed to help Bahraini families to cope with the extra cost."
The donation forms part of Batelco's commitment to assist in improving the life style for everyone in the Kingdom. So far this year, the company has given more than BD1 million in charitable aid designed to help those who need it most.
"We wish all of our customers a very happy Ramadan, with peace and joy throughout this Holy Month."
