ALDAR Properties' Al Raha Beach commemorative stamps launched today

ALDAR Properties PJSC announced today the launch of a set of commemorative postage stamps by Emirates Post, featuring their prestigious Arabian waterfront development, Al Raha Beach.
During a ceremony held at Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce Emirates Post Assistant Director General, Mr. Fahad Al Hosani presented ALDAR Chairman, Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh with an ornamental frame containing the four stamps and First Day Cover.
ALDAR's Chairman Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh said he was delighted to receive the framed stamps and the First Day Cover and commented: "Al Raha Beach development is a significant project for ALDAR - it is the new gateway to Abu Dhabi and will become home to more than 120,000 residents from around the world."
"We are excited to think that this project will be seen globally by recipients of mail from the UAE and we are proud of our association with Emirates Post which now records this significant development in the fast changing history of the UAE."
The stamps are expected to become a collectors' item for philatelists around the world. They go on sale from today at Emirates Post's 84 Post offices and 600 postal agencies across the UAE. They will remain in circulation until the issue is sold out.
Mr. Al Hosani stated: "This is the first time in Emirates Post's history that we have issued postage stamps in conjunction with a real estate developer to celebrate a significant new project."
"ALDAR's Al Raha Beach will become a major new address within Abu Dhabi emirate and we are proud to honour the development with this commemorative collection."
Al Raha Beach will establish a benchmark within the real estate sector - setting new standards of architectural and urban design excellence. It will be one of the catalysts for the future economic development of Abu Dhabi through its creation of jobs, investment opportunities and provision of community education, healthcare and recreational facilities. It is set to become a best practice model for future development within the UAE.
