Over 1,500 delegates and 130 exhibitors are expected to attend the ASIS International Middle East Security Conference & Exhibition 2006 under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It is hosted by ASIS International Middle East, the largest non-profit organization dedicated to security issues with more than 33,000 members world-wide, Elegant Services Group, a company committed to providing security services, training courses and consulting, and the Bahrain Convention and Exhibition Bureau (BCEB)-which operates the largest convention and exhibition venue in Bahrain.
The Junior Security Advisor's speech will be one of the event highlights amidst presentations by internationally famed keynote speakers such as Dr. Jessica Stern, Dr. Flynt Leverett, Former White House Security Advisor Mr. Richard Clark and 30 plus international corporate senior-level conference speakers.
'In a world dominated by modern technology and social activities, this is a great opportunity for young people to get involved and really feel that they can make a difference. We are pleased to offer the winner the chance to speak at such a high-profile event in the presence of the most world's most influential security professionals,' said Samir Raslan, the Senior Vice President of ASIS International.
This year's winner will not only receive a highly prized speaker's slot at the ASIS International Middle East Security Conference & Exhibition 2006, he/she will also be awarded cash, RT airfare to Bahrain and hotel accommodation in Bahrain during the time of the conference, the title of the Junior ASIS Middle East Ambassador for the entire calendar year of 2007 and will be seated at the head table at the VIP Gala Dinner. The top three essays, along with the names of all participants, will be published in 'Voices of Tomorrow.'
Each participant in the Junior Security Advisor Competition is requested to submit an essay of 700 words or less describing a security problem and suggesting a possible solution for the betterment of the safety in our world. The topics to choose from are: Security Services, Security of Petroleum & Energy Organizations, Transportation Security, Security of Banking and Financial Organizations, Government and Public Security, Firearm Equipment and Security Industries, Protection of Commercial Centers and Other Facilities, IT Security, Security of Chemical Industry, Hospital Security, Postal/Shipping Security, Environmental Protection, Security Equipment and Fire, Safety and Emergency Services.
Young adults invited to participate in ASIS International Middle East Security Conference & Exhibition 2006
Around the world, young adults between the ages of 13 to 25 are encouraged to 'Be Heard,' as ASIS International Middle East announced that this year's conference and exhibition will include the Junior Security Advisor Program.
