DCCI discusses trade and economic relations with Caserta

The visiting delegation included Piero Rossano, Spokesman for the President of Province, Domenico Dell'Aquila, Counselor of Agriculture, Mrs. Ginevra Del Vecchio, Counselor for EU Politics, Franco Capobianco, Counselor for Productive Activities, Engineer Gustavo Ascione, Caserta Chamber of Commerce President, in addition to a number of 18 Italian companies' representatives for a number of economic activities including technology, household, food processing, fashion and others. This visit to the UAE will run through until 21st of the current month.

The bilateral discussions handled the ways of developing and boosting the economic relations and widening the trade between Dubai and Caserta, as well as the investment opportunities in all trade, industrial, tourism, real estate sectors and aerospace enterprises.

Buamim welcomed the Italian delegation members wishing them a nice stay in Dubai and their visit a success. He further stressed the importance of Dubai as an international trade center enjoying enormous relations with a variety of countries, cities and provinces, because it constitutes an attraction point for investors and businessmen from different parts of the world thanks to the investment and economic atmosphere, non-taxation and the freedom of monies transference, in addition to the political, economic and social stability prevailing in Dubai.

"We enjoy strong economic and commercial ties with Italy based on mutual understanding and collaboration. The non-oil foreign trade between Dubai and Italy marked a 10% growth in 2005 compared to the past years. Caserta can play a key role in the current Dubai rise and Dubai at the same time is considered a regional hub that can conjugate the Italian organizations with promising markets in the Middle East and North Africa," said Buamim.

He further stressed that this meeting should be a springboard towards broader horizons to boost the trade relations between Dubai and Italy in general and Caserta in particular, through joining forces and laying down the plans required to achieving this goal. He also stressed that the joint collaboration should be developed in the international arbitration aspect to settle all commercial disputes.

I wish this meeting to be a starting-point for a new stage of trade and economic relations in all sectors between Dubai and Caserta and promote the trade exchange between the two sides through expanding the investments in Dubai and Caserta and engaging in joint projects, and raise the Italian companies' participation in the international exhibitions organized annually in Dubai."
