A group of Japanese companies making their first visit to Jebel Ali Free Zone held talks with senior officials of Jafza and discussed opportunities for co-operation.
The delegation consisted of the presidents of eight Japanese companies that specialize in different industries, businesses and services.

The talks focused on the investment environment in Dubai and the available infrastructure, especially in Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The leader of the Japanese delegation, Takashi Tarumi, said,

"We believe the incentives offered by Jafza are an important factor for these investors to stay and expand their businesses, taking into account the remarkably growing economy in this region."

Dr Mohammad Al-Banna, Jafza's Senior Sales Manager for Asia and the Pacific region, said, "The UAE, and especially Dubai, has solid ties with Japan, which enjoys a prestigious position worldwide at the business level."

Dr Al Banna added, "Several giant Japanese companies have already made Jafza their regional center. Among them you can find automobile and computer manufacturers. These companies service clients in the Gulf Region and the other neighboring countries. This wouldn't have happened without the abundance of facilities made available by JAFZA, as well as the flexible rules governed by the administration in the free zone."
