Bahrain will have a presence at the leading international aluminium trade show by way of a national pavilion and a 20-member delegation representing companies and organisation from the public and private sector such as Bahrain Aluminium (Alba), Midal Cables Ltd., Bahrain Welding Products Co. and the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).

Widely-regarded as one of the central activities of the international aluminium community, ALUMINIUM 2006 (6th World Trade Fair & Conference) is expected to attract about 600 exhibitors from 38 countries and will showcase the latest technologies in the aluminium industry as well as seminars and conferences.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, BCEA and EDB have developed a strategy to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain as a business destination through participation in international, specialised trade exhibitions, with focus on the aluminium industry.

Bahrain's participation in ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair & Conference for the fourth successive year reaffirms the continued success derived by Bahraini companies from participating in the leading trade show. The country has gone a long way towards developing the aluminium industry, particularly through its effective participation in the previous events held in 2000, 2002, and 2004 in Germany which has strengthened the Kingdom's position in the European market.
