DCCI organizes third meeting of Consultative Committee of Business Groups

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry convened yesterday the 3rd meeting of the Consultative Committee of Business Groups, operating under the umbrella of the Chamber, in order to brief its members to the services it delivers as well as discuss the performance development of these groups that represent different trade and economic activities in Dubai.

Hisham Al-Shirawi, DCCI Board Member, presided over the meeting. Also in attendance were, Atiq J. Nasib, Director of Business Development Department, Rashid Matar, Director of Commercial Services Department, Mohammed H. Al Khatib, Business Development Manager, Shamsa Zainal, Dubai Trade Point Manager and Eyad El-Kindy, Membership Services manager, in addition to a number of Business Groups Presidents, and managers and representatives for the DCCI member companies.

This meeting comes within the new strategy of DCCI in its pursuit of delivering world class services to its members and clients, as well as fulfilling the current and future business sector requirements.

Al Shirawi noted that the meeting comes in line with the DCCI's new strategy which aims at enhancing better communication and interaction among business groups whose number has currently surged to 18.

The Consultative Committee of the Business Groups was set up to enhance its relation and coordination with Business Groups and to highlight its activities. The committee also aims at providing advisory services concerning certain issues suggested by the DCCI or the Business Groups including problems and obstacles which the business sector in the emirate might face.

It also works on underlining these suggestions and giving feedback on the rules and regulations set by the DCCI that are directly related to the economic practices of these rules, in addition to suggesting amendment or addition of articles to the rules that meet the healthy local economic environment.
