Leaders in Dubai Business Forum 2006 aims to shape thinking across corporate Arabia

The Forum will take place at the Dubai International Convention Center, from November 28 - 29. Mrs. Maha K. Al-Ghunaim, Global's Vice Chairman and Managing Director, who was recently appointed as one of the six Al Rouad members, will be present as one of business leader and pioneer of the Middle East.

This is the third year Global sponsors the forum and the first time Al-Ghunaim will speak as a member of AlRouad.

The Forum will address the challenges and importance of change in the Middle East encouraging others to shape business across corporate Arabia, as well as driving new ideas and development into the region. Prominent speakers either in the business, politics, and academia field will articulate their experiences and impressions on all three fields.

Some of the prominent speakers are, General Colin L. Powell, Michael D. Eisner, Her Majesty Queen Noor, and other business moguls. All contributing their viewpoints to the developing future business's in the Middle East.

"I believe the forum will be of great importance as we will listen to real-life experiences and learn that failure is sometimes essential for success," said Al-Ghunaim

"An understanding of leadership principles is relevant in all parts of a company, because each employee is a potential leader," added Al-Ghunaim.

She affirmed that now "is the time to enhance the capabilities and energies of every individual in Arab Societies."

In addition, Al Rouad, meaning 'pioneers' will form a panel discussing, debating, and analyzing the future interests in Arab business's.

Delegates in the panel will include Al-Ghunaim herself, Mr. Faisal Belhoul, founder and managing partner of Ithmar Capital in Dubai, Mr. Yousef Al Essa, managing director of Addax Investment Bank, based in Bahrain. Mr. Ibrahim Al Asmakh, chairman of Regency Group in Qatar. Mr. Esam Janahi, CEO of Gulf Finance House, and Mr. Ibrahim Belselah, chairman of Reem Investments, UAE.

This is the third leaders in Dubai event in the past two years to hold discussions about the different strategies implemented in various companies in the Gulf. The event is organized by IRR (the Institute for International Research), a leading business information.
