  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, September 24 - 2006 at 13:35

An e-boarding scheme is to be trialled at Dubai International Airport, London Heathrow and Hong Kong International Airport, reported Gulf News. The IATA initiative allows passengers to avoid showing their passport to immigration official as biometric data such as fingerprints or the irises in their eyes will be checked instead. The trial will involve 3,000 people and will begin this Autumn.
