Generousity times two
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 25 - 2006 at 11:57
- PRESS RELEASE
The generousity of the people and residents of the UAE shone through at the gala dinner to launch the Quattro Hotel and Business Park this week.
Immediately on purchase Mr Al Bishri announced that as soon as the unit was ready, he would rent it out with all the proceeds from the rental return going to charity too.
Gamal Al Bana, Chairman of Sharmland, said Mr Al Bishri's generousity was truly indicative of the people from the 'City That Cares'.
"We are delighted to have raised so much money, which will be immediately given to UNICEF and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment, who will use the funds for a number of specific, special projects," he explains "These include the provision of vaccinations to prevent disease, assistance to injured and orphaned children and a back to school campaign."
Manzoor Rufi, chairman of Rufi Group of Companies added that he too was delighted at the response of bidders and praised Peter Etheridge, one of Australia's most prominent real estate auctioneers flown in specially by Rufi and Sharmland, for helping to push the bidding upwards.
"Peter added a fun element to a serious part of the evening's activities," he said. "Peter has built a reputation as a dynamic, entertaining and results driven professional auctioneer and it showed in the way he encouraged bids."
The Quattro Hotel and Business Park is one of the first projects to be established in Jumeirah Village South Circle, which is superbly situated on the junctions of Emirates Road, Barsha Road and Al Khail Road.
