- United Arab Emirates: Monday, September 25 - 2006 at 14:53
- PRESS RELEASE
As part of its employees welfare endeavors and to remain an employer of choice, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has developed and launched a new scheme through which employees can enjoy discounts from hotels, restaurants, parks, airlines and other outlets and services either in the UAE or abroad.
A website (www.dubaitourism.ae/IMTIAZ) has been launched allowing every staff member password-based access to the website to check out the special offers. The scheme presently offers discounts in seven categories. Presentations in Arabic and English languages were conducted to brief the employees about the concept and benefits of the scheme.
The DTCM Manager Human Resources, Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, said: "The scheme is in line with the policy of continues improvement adopted by the Human Resources Department. The initiative also utilizes the Information Technologies in order to maximise the standards of performance. This scheme is considered a quantum leap in improving our service standards."
The Imtiaz card holders will be able to automatically gain points every time they use the cards and the redeemed points be used for a variety of exciting offers. A number of companies, including hotels and resorts, spa, furniture stores, car rentals, recreational parks and jewellers, have joined as partners of the scheme. The department is holding talks with other companies to enlarge the scope of the scheme.
Employees will be updated every three months about the new offers. Mr. Ibrahim hoped that the Imtiaz Privilege Card will make life more fulfilling and fun.
