Introduced with this year's campaign is the quarterly draw. Apart from the regular 48 weekly draws, which are held every Wednesday for AED100,000, are four quarterly draws for AED 200,000 each. Participants have to register their unique 10-digit pin number, via SMS, for entry into one weekly and one quarterly draw.
"I am very pleased to announce that the new Postcard Millionaire campaign will commence on September 27," said Ahmad Tahlak - CEO - Emirates Marketing & Promotions. Postcard Millionaire, he explained, was introduced in 2004 with two main goals: fostering a closer relationship between Emirates Post and the public, thereby increasing usage of the organisation's services, and giving people a way to change their lives.
"Over the past years the campaign has fostered awareness of Emirates Post and has clearly brought joy to many of those who have participated in it. Postcard Millionaire has had the support of the public across the emirates and I am confident that this will continue for the new campaign, especially with the increase in the total prize value,"
he added.
Mr. Aldrin Fernandes, CEO, The Millionaire Co, the sole distribution and marketing agency for Postcard Millionaire in the UAE, commenting on the campaign's new features, said that they were influenced and shaped by customer feedback. "These changes have been incorporated to give the end user more options.
"Another new feature of the campaign is 'CashPointz', which are part of the instant scratch and win prizes. CashPointz will allow customers to collect and accumulate points and redeem them at retail and service outlets for goods and services of their choice for the value earned." CashPointz are the equivalent of cash and give the buyer wider choice as they are accepted at over 3,500 outlets.
Burger King, Joy Alukkas, Wall Street Exchange, Zee Real Media have reconfirmed their support of the new campaign, and have returned as sponsors of Postcard Millionaire.
