DuBiotech announces 'Medicine for Lebanon' Campaign

The Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park (DuBiotech) today announced the 'Medicine for Lebanon' campaign as part of the organization's corporate social responsibility (CSR) to extend humanitarian aid for Lebanon.
Dr. Abdulqader Alkhayat, Executive Director, DuBiotech said: "In line with the spirit of Ramadan, DuBiotech is initiating the 'Medicine for Lebanon' campaign as our contribution towards alleviating the terrible suffering of the Lebanese people."
Dr. Alkhayat added that DuBiotech, the region's first free zone in biotechnology, has a committed CSR policy that aims to integrate social and environmental concerns into its everyday operations, and encourage the participation of all levels of the organisation in CSR programmes.
Dr. Alkhayat said: "The hospitals in Lebanon have an urgent need for medical supplies and medicines. Through this campaign, we want to galvanise the support of the public and corporate organisations, pharmaceutical companies and hospitals to help raise funds and supplies for Lebanon. I call upon everyone to generously contribute towards the success of this campaign."
'Medicine for Lebanon' campaign launched at the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan, will conclude with a special fund raising event in November.
The Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park is dedicated to creating an advanced technical and community infrastructure to accelerate the growth of the life sciences industry in the region. DuBiotech will be the centre of excellence in biotechnology, bridging research, education and industry through national and international collaboration.
