Markaz appoints head of research

Kuwait Financial Centre "Markaz", one of the Middle East's leading investment banking and asset management companies, announced the appointment of Mandagolathur Raghu as Senior Vice President of Research.

Raghu will lead the research department at Markaz. Through this effort, Markaz endeavors to publish reports on issues of strategic importance to the local and GCC markets. Research issues shall span economy, capital markets and key asset classes of strategic importance to Markaz clients. In this process, it will also endeavor to emulate "best practices" associated with research.

Raghu has worked for the past four years at Wealth Management Group as the Director of Investment Management & Research. Prior to that he was at The Consulting Center for Finance and Investment (CCFI) Riyadh and has also worked with various other organizations in India like Unit Trust of India.

Raghu obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai, India and thereafter completed his AICWA in the year 1987. He also obtained his CFA Charter in the year 2003 from the CFA Institute, USA followed by the FRM in the year 2005 from the Global Association for Risk Professionals, USA.

Raghu has special interest in regional capital markets and economy with a special focus on asset allocation.
