Recently held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Dubai, Middle East regional importer representatives of Audi gathered for the Annual Sales and Marketing Round Table under the hospitality of the Audi regional head office in Dubai.

Split in to two segments, the first segment saw the review of results from the previous year while the second segment looked ahead at the sales and marketing strategy for 2007. Main points discussed for the months to come were the upcoming Middle East launch of Audi's S models, the new Audi TT at the beginning of 2007 and the first super sports car by Audi - the R8, which is due to arrive in the Middle East in September 2007. The Regional Conference was followed by business plan meetings with the individual importers.

Bernd Rosenbichler, Head of Marketing of Audi Middle East, commented,

"Operating in a regional field it is essential for our business to take stock of our performance and evaluate what has been achieved, what needs to be the focus and what the overall objective is in order to reach the company's collective goal. Our annual regional conference continues to be a valuable exercise bringing together the various managers and provides direction for all our regional operations to continue their extemporary work."

Audi Middle East reported a sales increase of 32% for the period of January to August 2006. With a pumped up model range, unified sales and marketing strategy and larger investments in sales and service Audi aims to achieve its annual sales target of 10,000 units by the year 2009.
