Emaar, $43bn Pakistan venture

Emaar has been given the go-ahead by Pakistan's government for a $43bn project to develop two resorts near Karachi, Gulf News reported. The Dubai-based developer will build apartments, resorts and entertainment facilities over 13 years on Bundal and Buddo Islands. The land will be provided by Pakistan's Port Qasim, which holds a 15% stake in the project.
