Addressing the Arab-Greek Forum held recently in Athens, Tariq Bin Ghalaita, Sales Manager, Jafza, said as the Middle East's premier economic free zone, Jafza would continue to play its role as a strategic link between the East and the West.

Explaining the reasons behind Jafza's success, Mr Bin Ghalaita said, 'Our flexible and advanced rules of investment have contributed in creating a suitable environment that encourages many international companies to use Jafza as a springboard to reach their targeted markets. The massive logistic support base offered by Jafza also helps investors to move freely in borderless areas.

'One of the reasons why investors choose Jafza as their hub is the package of incentives we offer, such as exemption from taxes, good space with all means of communications and transport, modern technologies and an advanced and open banking system that permits the smooth transfer of funds according to the laws and procedures applied by the UAE Central Bank.

'The significance of Jafza's participation in this event comes from the fact that the forum has brought together a large number of institutions and establishments from the world of finance, decision-makers like ministers as well as industrialists and investors.'

The Arab-Greek Forum discussed an action plan submitted by Jafza for advancing the cause of a free investment climate.

Many Greek and other European companies expressed their desire to discuss with Jafza the possibility of setting up projects in the Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Jafza was among several UAE institutions that participated in the forum, including the UAE Central Bank and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce.
