SYSTIMAX® Solutions Conference draws huge regional support for performance and quality
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, September 28 - 2006 at 14:07
- PRESS RELEASE
More than 300 delegates from 10 countries recently attended a conference hosted by SYSTIMAX Solutions™, the worldwide leader in structured connectivity solutions, to learn about the vital role this technology has to play in any infrastructure development and its impact on the future of the region.
Forde added: "What we've seen here by the high turnout today is that companies are taking connectivity solutions very seriously. Where previously cabling was seen as an afterthought, it is now being placed high on the agenda for infrastructure. It's no longer a background issue. With so many applications from voice to video, internet and security, people are looking at long term crucial investments. And with the fast paced environment of the region entering onto the global stage, that can only be good for business."
Manufacturing more than 3,000 miles of cabling every day, SYSTIMAX Solutions place copper and fibre optic cabling solutions at the forefront of any infrastructure development - playing a central role, rather than being considered an afterthought by developers and technology providers.
Forde continued: "Network performance is the key to the success of any organisation and is now viewed as an investment rather than an unnecessary expense."
Delegates learned about the increased demand for faster bandwith and the ability to deliver via products including the copper-based GigaSPEED X10D and GigaSPEED XL Solutions, the fibre optic LazrSPEED and TeraSPEED™ Solutions.
They also heard from Dave Tanis, Technical Director EMEA who emphasised the need to install cabling solutions that would grow with infrastructure needs. "With most fibre cable only stretching to an area of 80 metres, the LazrSPEED can maintain performance to more than 550 metres, which would certainly service the many high rise developments currently underway in the region. Also, recent research from the US shows that the value of a property increases with the installation of fibre optic cabling. It adds value and is seen as a long term investment with the ability to carry more capacity in the future."
In another key session Craig Doyle, Major Accounts Manager, guided delegates through the latest Ethernet next generation total solutions and why organisations shouldn't dismiss 10Gbps to the desktop in the future.
