'The exhibition is a good opportunity for us to highlight the wide range of services we offer to all women and their families,' said Christopher Evans, Director of MPH. 'Not only do we have the diagnostic and surgical capabilities of an international hospital, but we also fully match these with our high standards of clinical safety and patient services.'
Evans cited as an example the hospital's Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, which has a labour and delivery suite, with three fully equipped delivery rooms as well as a Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit alongside an operating theatre. The department is staffed by highly experienced female gynaecologists.
'Though childbirth is the happiest of times, which every Obstetric Unit should enhance, it is also essential that the safest possible environment be provided at this time and this is something that we focus on at MPH,' said Evans.
He pointed out that the hospital also has an Assisted Conception Unit with it own IVF Laboratory for couples with fertility problems. In addition, MPH offers an innovative and comprehensive range of health screening packages called 'Well Woman,' which are designed for the early detection and prevention of diseases that are particularly common in women.
The latest addition to the hospital's modern facilities is its Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Centre, which offers consultations and a wide range of services in a totally private setting. The cosmetic plastic surgery procedures available range from rhytedectomy (face lift), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) to liposuction (fat removal) and augmentation mammoplasty (breast augmentation).
'The participation of Muscat Private Hospital both as an exhibitor and as a co-sponsor of Women Expo 2006 speaks highly of their strong commitment to safeguard the health of women in the Sultanate,' said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the company organizing the event.
Paul pointed out that in addition to women's health issues, Women Expo will also have sections focusing on beauty products, fashion and lifestyle, food and kitchen, jewellery, home appliance and interiors, education and finance as well as wedding concepts.
