DCV, 14.8% increase in cargo

Dubai Cargo Village has seen a 14.8% increase in cargo throughput in the first eight months of the year. The DCV had handled over 968,800 tonnes by the end of August. Imports and exports have jumped by 10%, while transhipments rose by 14.8%; the DCV is scheduled to handle 2m tonnes of air cargo by 2014 and 2.7m tonnes by 2018.
