Etihad Airways entices guests to New York City with ground-breaking promotions

With less than a month to go before Etihad Airways begins its services to New York, the UAE's national airline has unveiled some of the most exciting promotions ever seen with the launch of a new route.

The innovative Guest offers include children under the age of 12 flying for free (when travelling with an adult in Coral zone) and 50 percent discount on a return Pearl zone seat when buying a second ticket.

"There is a great deal of anticipation ahead of the New York launch, which is why Etihad has announced these unprecedented offers. We want all of our Guests to be able to celebrate this impressive milestone with us,"

said Geert W. Boven, acting CEO at Etihad Airways.

From 26 October, Etihad will operate one of its purpose-built Airbus A340-500's daily between Abu Dhabi and New York's JFK Airport, offering the very best in air travel luxury and comfort.

As well as the promotions for children and Pearl zone Guests, members of our new loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, can earn to 150 percent bonus miles on the New York route when travelling in Diamond zone.

Members of the Etihad Guest programme who travel in Coral zone will receive 50 percent more bonus miles and Pearl zone Guests will receive 100 percent more bonus miles.

Pearl zone Guests can also experience Etihad's business bed, which recently won the World Travel Award for being the world's leading flat-bed seat at the annual ceremony in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

In addition to winning the award for the world's leading flat-bed seat, Etihad was also presented with the award for being the world's leading new airline for the third consecutive year.

Etihad will fly to Terminal 4 at New York's JFK Airport, which is the Abu Dhabi-based airline's 35th international destination.

New York is Etihad's second North American destination, after Toronto, and is one of the most prestigious airports the Abu Dhabi-based airline can fly to.

The A340-500 is configured with two aisles and can carry 240 Guests with 12 in Diamond, 28 in Pearl and 200 in Coral zone.

Flight EY 503 will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport every day at 14:15, arriving in New York at 21:25. The return flight EY 504, then departs at 23:10 arriving the next day in Abu Dhabi at 20:25.

Etihad Holidays will offer Guests a multitude of options which include some of New York's best located hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria, the Hilton on Times Square and the New Yorker.
