- PRESS RELEASE
Ashraf Elmanawaty has been appointed Director of Marketing at the soon-to-open Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, Egypt.
During his tenure, the Resort was voted 'Marketing Hotel for Four Seasons 2003' and achieved international recognition, as a destination for luxury travel.
A native of Egypt, Elmanawaty's career in the hospitality industry began in Cairo where he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Hotel Management at the faculty of Hotel and Tourism. Prior to joining Four Seasons, he held several Management and Executive positions in Sales and Marketing with InterContinental Hotels.
"I am delighted to welcome Ashraf to the pre-opening team for Four Seasons Alexandria," said Stephan Killinger, General Manager. "His experience and knowledge of the hotel industry, in particular here in Egypt, will be an asset to the successful opening and subsequent operation of the hotel." Elmanawaty - an avid amateur photographer who boasts an extensive archive - is married with two young daughters.
The 127-room Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano, due to open in early 2007, is the first Mediterranean property for Toronto headquartered Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Offering guests views over the Mediterranean, a private beach, marina, European Spa and several dining options as well as spacious meeting space and a grand ballroom, the Hotel will rekindle the glamour and prestige of San Stefano, Egypt's legendary Mediterranean resort.
