Gulf Air avoids Iraq airspace

Gulf Air will reroute its flights to Europe to avoid Iraqi air space following a mid-air incident between a military aircraft and one the carrier's London-bound flights, according to Gulf Daily News. The Gulf Air flight carrying 156 passengers was forced to take evasive action when radar picked up an object, thought to be a military aircraft, coming rapidly towards it.
