The project will train teachers in the use of technology as a way to increase the quality of learning in their classrooms.
Zainab Baqer, Project Manager said
"The British Council's ICT in Schools project aims to improve the quality of education at school level by exchanging information and experiences through participating in Global Gateway's innovative programs. This will help both British and Bahraini teachers to better understand cultural differences by discussing ideas in an open environment while they are working together by all available means including visits, websites and e-learning."
The programme consists of three workshops and each workshop will be three-days long. By the end of the programme teachers should be able to integrate ICT in their classes and use the technology to enhance learning and teaching at classroom level.
The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. We are a not-for-profit organisation operated independently from the government. We help individuals in over 100 countries reach their goals through seminars, art and science activities, exhibitions, courses and international examinations. Our aim is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and Bahrain. Our resources in Bahrain are used to benefit Bahrainis through creating opportunities and bringing people together.
