HH Sheikh Hamdan is patron of DSF Ideal Arab Mother and Family Awards

The DSF Office organised by Ideal Arab Mother and Family Awards are now being held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, who is highly impressed with the concept of the award that honours the unflinching sacrifices of the mother and a dedicated family system. The seventh edition of the award will be held during DSF 2006-2007 running between December 20, 2006 and February 2, 2007.

Says Saeed Al Nabouda, DSF CEO, said:

"The Ideal Arab Mother and Family Awards, set up under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, goes back to the year 2000. Launched during the fifth round of the Dubai Shopping Festival, the Award is an appreciation for the larger role that a mother and a family play in creating positive and productive citizens,"

Says Al Nabouda, "Since its inception some seven years ago, the Award has been employing a very accurate criteria in selecting the right candidates by a panel of specialised jury members who come from a cross section of social and psychological backgrounds. They use a very stringent selection method while putting the spotlight on exemplary mothers and families who have managed to reach the peak of their achievements. The awards are also a reminder that the DSF is not just entertainment but also covers humanitarian aspects under its slogan of One World One Family One Festival."
