RTA receives the new Japanese General Consul

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayar, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has received H.E. Hiroyasu Kobayashih, the new Consul General of Japan in Dubai who visited the RTA recently after taking up his mission in the UAE.
Al Tayer welcomed the new Consul General of Japan wishing him well and that they would help enhance the bilateral relation, and showcase the development of the relationships between Dubai and Japan.
He called for opening new channels for cooperation in different aspects including the organizing of mutual visiting programs for youth delegations to exchange experiences and look at pioneering experiences in both countries.
Al Tayer briefed his Japanese guest during the meeting, about aspects of economic development in Dubai and the major infrastructure projects, the construction boom and other giant economic enterprises which positively contribute to having Dubai rank amongst the top positions as one of the most important business hubs in the Middle East and the world.
He pointed out to the active role of Dubai in the region as major player in business and investments as many international companies are facilitating from location, logistic and other facilities being available in Dubai as an entry point to the regional and international markets. He invited Japanese investors especially the contractors in general and contractors of roads in particular to increase their investments in Dubai and to benefit from the construction and real estate hub in Dubai.
H.E. Hiroyasu Kobayashih, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality he experienced in the UAE in general and in Dubai in particular, pointing to the strong diplomatic and trade relations between Dubai and Japan, and praised the comprehensive development including economic, social, and all aspects in Dubai; He expressed his country's readiness to expand channels of cooperation between the two countries, stressing the Japanese interests in strengthen the relations between Dubai in particular and UAE in general and to support the bilateral relations with Dubai through improving the trade and investment ties between both countries.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Majid AL-Khaja, Executive Director of the Rail Agency and Dr. Aisha Al bosimat, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication Department, as well as a number of RTA officials.
