int@j awarded Mark of Best Practice by the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence

The Information Technology Association of Jordan received the Mark for Best Practice of the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence last month for excelling in providing services to local ICT companies that encourage their active participation in developing the country's economy.

The Certificate was presented to Mr. Mustafa Naserridine, Chairman of int@j, by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Al Hussein during a ceremony that was held at the Grand Hyatt, Amman.

The King Abdullah II Award for Excellence is the highest level of quality recognition in Jordan. The Award aims at enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian businesses by promoting quality awareness and performance excellence, and recognizing the successful achievements of Jordanian companies.

"The Mark of Best Practice is not just for int@j, it's for the members of int@j and the entire ICT community that has contributed to our success." said Sabri Tabba, int@j CEO, upon receiving the certificate.

int@j's achievement comes as a result of its efforts to serve the Jordanian ICT community through its wide range of services and encourage best business practices. int@j aims at effectively representing, promoting and advancing the Jordanian software and IT services industry in the global market. int@j is focused on where it can make a difference: influencing policy, improving markets, and helping members further expand their business.

int@j's Vice Chairman, Ms. Doha Abdelkhaleq, commented on the this significant accomplishment:

"int@j, in representation of the ICT sector, has proven its credibility, consistency and long term vision and commitment to ICT by adhering to best practices since day one. We are very proud of this recognition and we praise the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II."


As part of its continuous efforts, int@j is currently organizing the upcoming ICT Forum which will be held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea on December 6-7, 2006. The ICT Forum is the Kingdom's premier international information and communications technology (ICT) industry event held bi-annually under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and is aimed at promoting the ICT potential of Jordan in particular and the Arab region at large to an international audience.

int@j is the Jordanian ICT industry-support business association that embraces Jordan's ICT stakeholders with a mission to promote their advancement on local and international levels, and enhance their capacity and performance.

All past, present and future activities and tasks undertaken by int@j are in accordance with its objectives to form international ICT industry partnerships, to create alliances with global players in the ICT sector, to attract funds for ICT enabler projects and to publicize local success stories.
