International Tobacco and Cigarettes Company fosters team spirit within the firm while encouraging domestic tourism
- Jordan: Wednesday, October 04 - 2006 at 10:01
- PRESS RELEASE
The International Tobacco and Cigarette Company (ITC) recently organized two day trips for its staff to the coastal city of Aqaba.
These trips were held on September 15th, and September 22nd 2006, and were organized by the firm's social committee. During both trips, attendees got a chance to enjoy a shopping spree at the Shuwaikh Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the city, as well as a yacht trip, a view of the sunset from Wadi Rum, lavish lunches, and lots more.
When asked to comment on the Aqaba trip, Mr. Samer Fakhouri, General Manager of ITC, said," We are strong believer in both the power of social interaction, and the long way that fostering healthy work environments go in promoting advancement in any firm. This belief has governed all the social activities we organize at ITC, for I and the rest of ITC's administration don't see anyone on our team as a mere employee but rather as a member of our expanding ITC family."
Mr. Fakhouri added "These trips are our way of creating a sense of unity in our firm, and more importantly they are our humble way of thanking everyone on the ITC team for their ongoing efforts. Their efforts are the force steering the firm forward towards further advanceman and prosperity. We fully acknowledge that we wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for our powerful team. In a market governed by ongoing competition and change, our firm has managed to maintain a pioneering position, and once again we have our team and their genuine loyalty to thank for that. "
It is important to note that this isn't the first trip of its type to be organized by ITC, for the firm constantly launches initiatives that help create a healthy social climate amongst its team members. ITC will be organizing several similar activities in the future, using the success of past attempts as its source of inspiration.
