The new event on Saturday 28th October follows in the wake of the successful All As One dinner cruise in June this year, which raised more than AED 60,000 for the charity organisation's children's orphanage in Sierra Leone.
Guests who book seats for the evening will not only help orphaned children in Africa, but will also be treated with gourmet cuisine from Executive Chef Tunji Oladipo and entertainment by world-class jazz pianist Dwight Dickerson and jazz singer Terri Fields. Penned as 'The Jazz Master', Dickerson has played with the greatest and most influential jazz musicians around the world and recently promoted his CD with original jazz compositions. Fields started her professional career with the jazz quintet 'Cascade' and then joined 'Groovin' with whom she travelled and performed throughout the Pacific Northwest of Canada and the United States.
David Thomson, General Manager Corporate Affairs of Jebel Ali International Hotels, said supporting All As One is a pleasure. 'It is such deserving charitable work which is done by a team of people who care so much for these children. I couldn't be happier about Bateaux Dubai's association with this great organisation and we hope the evening will raise significant funds.'
'Our sincere thanks go to Bateaux Dubai and Jebel Ali International Hotels for their continued support,' said Matthew Morgan-Jones of All As One. 'Thanks to the funds raised from the last event, we have been able to take in 12 additional children into the orphanage.'
Sierra Leone is recovering from a brutal civil war that has left 15% of the country's children orphaned. All As One (AAO) was founded in 1997 in an effort to ease the suffering of abandoned orphans in Africa, especially Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. The organisation currently implements several programmes such as a children's centre, medical clinic, school, monthly child sponsorship and assistance to destitute women and families.
Bateaux Dubai, the luxury cruise vessel managed by Jebel Ali International Hotels, will host the All As One charity dinner on Saturday 28th October. Dubai residents can support this charity drive by purchasing tickets. The price includes a fantastic three course freshly prepared dinner, all house beverages, live entertainment and an exquisite cruise along Dubai creek.
