BBK donates BD 45,000 to Bahrain charities in September

BBK has donated a total of BD 45,000 in September to four different charities supporting less advantaged Bahraini citizens.

As part of the Bank's ongoing efforts to provide a brighter future for those who are physically, mentally or financially challenged, the Board of Directors approved the donations to the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society, the Ministry of Affairs' Zakat Fund, Bahrain Mobility International and the Bahrain Red Crescent Society.

Abdul Hussein Bustani, AGM, Human Resources and Noora Al Nusuf, Manager Corporate Communications presented the checks at individual meetings to Adel Abdulla Fakhroo (Chairman, Bahrain Down Syndrome Society), Mohammed Saad Ali (Chairman, Zakat Fund), Munira Bin Hindi (Chairman, Bahrain Mobility International) and Sadeq Al Shabi (Bahrain Red Crescent Society).

Each of the societies received BD 10,000, while the Zakat Fund, was presented with BD 15,000.
The September donations bring the cumulative donations made by BBK this year to date to a total of BD 560.000.

BBK's donation policy is targeted towards non-governmental organizations that support less advantaged children, as well as to organizations supporting development of education, art, healthcare and culture.

The policy is in line with the Bank's commitment to the local community. BBK seeks to diversify the base of its donation recipients, thereby proactively contributing to securing improved opportunities for a large and diversified population.
