Says Maan kouly, Senior Operations Manager, Starbucks Coffee Middle East: "Ramadan is a time for sharing; a time to come together and celebrate our traditions. We at Starbucks, are committed to regional and local customs and traditions, which are part and parcel of the Arabian culture."
Adding to the season's ambience, Starbucks welcomes all coffee connoisseurs to embark on a journey in the rich history of Arabian coffee. Discover the timeless traditions of Starbucks Arabian coffee selections with a choice of exquisite whole bean coffees known for their legendary berry-like qualities.
Geography is a flavour and the unique taste of every cup of coffee is inextricably linked with its land of origin. Because each region has different soils, climates and cultivation methods, the coffees they produce vary greatly by taste.
To complement the season of Ramadan, Starbucks has carefully selected a choice of coffee beans that celebrate the Arabian heritage and offers customers the chance to find those special coffees that they love: Arabian Mocha Sanani - a profound single origin coffee with spicy, berry notes - and Arabian Mocha Java - a blend of distinction which complements cranberry, chocolate or orange flavours.
"Coffees exhibit distinctive flavor characteristics based on where they are grown and how they are processed. Starbucks buys only the highest quality Arabica coffees and roasts them to bring out their inherent flavor potential," says Kouly
As the purveyor of the world's finest coffee, Starbucks invests a significant amount of time and energy in buying, roasting, packaging and providing the best coffee in the world to our customers.
"Every coffee has a story; and every bean is a unique treasure. We are pleased to re-introduce our Arabian coffee selection as we begin the holy month of Ramadan. Customers with an adventurous palate will enjoy the tastes of our coffee bean selection that date back to coffee's very birthplace," adds Kouly.
Arabian Mocha Java is often cited the world's oldest coffee blend. Sometime in the 17th century, Dutch settlers in the Indonesian island, Java, decided to mix mocha coffee from Yemen with locally grown beans. The legendary result has stood the test of time.
A true connoisseur's coffee, Arabian Mocha Sanani is exotic with a floral aroma. Laden with flavours of deep port wine, juicy ripe blackberries, warm earthen spices and arid cocoa, this is one of the most exotic and unpredictable coffees.
"At Starbucks, we acknowledge local cultures, values and beliefs and as a result, we also occasionally introduce season food pairings that celebrate flavours typical to the region. This Ramadan, our customers can also indulge in our new Ginger Cinnamon muffin as a treat after breaking their fast," concluded Kouly.
