RTA awarded AED 160 million roads projects

The Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, Chaired by H.E Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director has awarded the implementation of the roads network projects at Al Mohaisnah (1) and Al Muzhir (1) to one of the local construction companies in Dubai, at a total cost of about AED: 160 million.
The 1185 hectares estimated project, includes about 7 km of secondary arterial roads, and 8.4 km of collector in addition to 46.6 kilometers of local roads in the zone 261 at Al Mohaisnah (1) and the zone 262 at Al Mozhir (1), as well as the implementation of the surface parking in both areas.
She added that this project is in the sequence of the RTA strategy to cope with the Dubai's construction, thus to meet the requirements of development and the continuous increase in the number of population in the Emirate. The project is among a number of others being implemented to improve the roads net work and to provide a better service in the residential areas.
