Al Bayader to showcase packaging products at Food Expo 2006

"We have opened our office in Muscat only recently, and we are eager to show why our food packaging products are trusted by a large number of customers not just in the GCC but in over 35 countries worldwide," said Sami Hamdan, branch manager of Al Bayader International in Muscat.

Founded in 1990, the company is presently based in Sharjah, UAE, with branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. After establishing an office in Doha, Qatar in 2004, it set up operations in Muscat starting this year as part of the company's expansion strategy in the Gulf.

Hamdan pointed out that Al Bayader can serve the food packaging needs of various types of customers, from retail users such as supermarkets, hotels and restaurants to industrial users including airports, hospitals and large government institutions. The company's showroom in Al Khuwair features an extensive range of hygienic and high-quality packaging products made of plastic, foam, paper and aluminium.

"The entry of Al Bayader in the Oman market is a big boost in meeting the food packaging requirements of the sultanate's vibrant food industry," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading exhibition organising company in the sultanate. "Their participation in Food Expo 2006 highlights the leading role that the company plays in this sector."

Paul announced that preparations are heating up for the holding of Food Expo 2006, which is scheduled on December 3-5 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre in Seeb. In addition to food packaging materials, the international exhibition will also display modern catering equipment, various types of food products, hotel and restaurant supplies, as well as agricultural equipment and supplies.

"Food Expo intends to showcase everything related to food processing, food products and food technology," said Abdullah Beg, project manager of the event. "A large number of local and international companies have already signed up for the event, a clear sign of the continued growth of the food industry in Oman."
