Adnoc's E-Plus hits the pumps

Adnoc Distribution is to begin selling its new E-plus fuel today at all Adnoc service stations across the UAE, reported Gulf News. The company claims the Octane 91 fuel, which sells at Dhs5.75 per gallon, will be cheaper and environmentally friendly. But doubts have been cast by motorists and some experts upon the detrimental effects of lower octane fuels on engines and whether they are, in fact, environmentally friendly.
