- PRESS RELEASE
Kuwait Airways (KU) and United Airlines (UA) recently entered into a Mail Code Share Agreement for carrying international mails to and from USA primarily to Kuwait directly.
Kuwait Airways (KU) currently operates six flights a week to/from New York, out of which three are direct non-stop flights on SUN/WED/FRI on B777 wide-body aircraft and the remaining three flights on SAT/TUE/THU via LON on A340 wide-body aircraft.
United Airlines has also recently announced three weekly flights to Kuwait from Washington D.C. on B777 aircrafts on TUE/THU/SAT, which will commence from its Winter schedule late October'06. UA will be the only American carrier to operate directly to/from Kuwait. Hence, the Code-Share Agreement between KU and UA will compliment and supplement each other to meet customer demands.
While passengers and cargo are already being carried on KU and UA flights, the new Code Share Agreement targets carriage of mails from population with a view to a quicker and better service in the interests of all concerned.
