Telecoms World 2005 saw a strong attendance, of which 36% were C-level management and 41% sales and marketing heads. Attendees visited from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Afghanistan, Algeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, South Africa, Japan, Western Europe and USA. Notably 27% of delegates came from UK and Western Europe indicating a huge interest to invest in this dynamic market.
The conference will be split into three consecutive days to address several issues including strategies for operator growth, IP peering and interconnection, investment in the Middle East Telecoms and the potential of broadband services. The pre-conference workshop, led by Siemens, aims to communicate to industry players how managed services can be used to create strategic carrier-vendor partnerships that support continuous business improvement. The conference will also dedicate a full day to presentations and discussions on WiMAX, where speakers from industry innovators will talk about converged broadband services and the impact of WiMAX
