The high lunch, as it's known will transform level 2 of the hotel into a Mediterranean dream, combining both Amwaj the seafood restaurant and Marrakech the Moroccan restaurant.

The sensational Mediterraneo high lunch spans the culinary spectrum of the most varied and colourful region on earth. The Mediterranean, known for its fabulous variety of cuisines can be divided into three culinary regions; North African, Eastern Mediterranean and Southern European. Tomato, garlic and basil are central to Southern European cuisine, while spices are an intricate part of North African cuisine. The combination of Amwaj and Marrakech will bring these culinary regions together with a vast Mediterranean menu.

Seafood has always been a core element of Mediterranean cuisine and as such, Amwaj will feature a variety of the freshest seafood prepared to your taste in true Mediterranean style. Marrakech will provide authentic culinary delights from across the North African and East Mediterranean regions.

Mediterraneo is not just about cuisine, a vast array of beverages will stretch all the way from Amwaj to Marrakech. Discover the longest Bloody Mary bar in the United Arab Emirates, a signature Cuban Mojito bar and a 'shake-your-own' martini corner. For the Champagne lovers, the best bubbly will be free flowing throughout the afternoon.

Sebastien Noat, Director of Food and beverage explained, "Mediterraneo is a new concept for Shangri-La but we are sure the residents of Dubai will be very excited to try this new Friday dining venue and sample some of the best Mediterranean cuisine available."

Guests can mingle their way between Amwaj and Marrakech, sampling the variety of cuisines and beverages along the way. Mediterraneo is available from 13h00 to 16h00 every Friday.
