The recently opened financial centre of Dubai is expected to become the headquarters of many international financial institutions and is therefore a prime locations for NTDE's convenience concept stores and its café and laundry chains, explained Farid Ahmadi, CEO, NTDE. The new stores will include NTDE's NewsCentre and Snack & More, the premium ice cream parlour Häagen-Dazs Café, Champion Cleaners - Dry Cleaning & Laundry and NTDE's foremost brand - Smokers' Centre.

"DIFC one of the most attractive business locations in Dubai - for one, it offers us the opportunity to reach a wide consumer group and, more importantly for some of our brands - such as NewsCentre and Snack & More, are best suited to the convenience shopping concept which is ideal in the DIFC business district."

"This is the first time that Champion Cleaners will open at a business centre of any kind and we expect this to be the forerunner of similar initiatives. We will be introducing a 'same day' laundry service with the opening of Champion Cleaners at DIFC, which we expect will be popular with time bound executives," said Mr. Babak Moghaddam, Operations Manager, Champion Cleaners

All NTDE outlets are strategically located with DIFC. While Häagen-Dazs and NewsCentre can be found amongst other restaurants and cafes in the food and beverage section, Champion Cleaners is situated in the service area, and Smokers' Centre at the main gate precinct building.

The number of NTDE stores has rapidly grown over the past year: there are presently 33 Smokers' Centres across the UAE; Champion Cleaners, which had 15 outlets at the beginning of the year, now has 19 outlets, and NewsCentre, which was introduced late 2003, can today be found at five of the top malls in Dubai. NTDE's latest addition Snack & More will open its second outlet at DIFC. Häagen-Dazs Café, which first opened at Dhiyafah Street in 11th April 1999 has recently seen the opening of its ninth outlets.
