Al Jazeera International announced today its programme One-on-One, a weekly show hosted by renowned international journalist and specialist interviewer, Riz Khan.
Riz Khan talks informally with some of the worlds most accomplished and fascinating individuals including Sir Bob Geldof, veteran U.S. journalist Mike Wallace, Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat and former First Lady of Egypt Jehan Sedat, to name just a few. One-on-One gives viewers an intimate look at their personal philosophy, defining moments, and family history.
"This isn't a typical news interview," Khan emphasises, "it's more of a chat. I always like to think that it's much more personal when it's One-on-One."
Riz Khan was a presenter and reporter for the BBC for 8 years and co-hosted the first ever show on BBC World Service Television in 1991. He was head-hunted by CNN International in 1993, where he became a Senior Anchor for the network's global news shows and special events, and hosted "Q&A with Riz Khan, where his 1,500-plus interviews included the world's highest-profile people from the world of politics, business, sports and entertainment.
