The three-month course organized by Emirates and conducted at the Hawthorn College, Muscat, is applicable to Omani nationals recruited earlier this year for select Cabin Crew and Ground Services positions within the airline, and serves as a foundation step for joining Emirates' multi-national workforce.

On successful completion of the English language course in Oman, the new cabin crew recruits will proceed to join a five-week training programme at the world-class Emirates Aviation College in Dubai, while the Ground Services' candidates will undergo a comprehensive four-week training course on Customer Service, Basic Aviation Security, Health Safety, core Business Skills and Grooming.

The airline's Aviation College boasts state-of-the art facilities including a unique emergency training simulator and full-scale aircraft mock-ups for service training, along with medical training accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, collectively ensuring Emirates' cabin crew are the best qualified in the skies.

During the course of the programme, the Omani recruits will undertake a combination of mandatory online courses and classroom training sessions, reinforced with role plays, simulations and on-job training.

Emirates' Manager Oman, Mansoor Mushabech said:

"Our recruitment efforts in Oman are in line with the UAE government's call for private sector companies to take the lead in providing more career opportunities for GCC nationals. Emirates is one of the world's fastest growing airlines, and we are always on the lookout for talented individuals to join our team. With rapidly-expanding services on ground and over 100 new wide-bodied aircraft on order, we certainly are looking to recruit and train more people."

Emirates' workforce hail from more than 100 nationalities, including Oman, contributing to the airline's dynamic and international outlook.
