During this trip, the selected ITC staff members will be able to carry out their religious duties and to take part in the Umra rituals.
Commenting on this particular plan, Mr. Samer Fakhouri, General Manager of ITC, said, 'This initiative is our humble way of showing our commitment to social development and interaction. It is with great pleasure that we grant the ITC team this opportunity. We fully understand that the Holy Month of Ramadan is a time where the Islamic community at large enjoys taking part in spiritual rituals, and we at the firm value all our team members and their wishes.
'We feel our Team's hard work does deserve to be rewarded, and this trip is only a small token of our appreciation for their efforts. To us, the ITC team is one family and we sincerely believe in sharing in the interests of our ITC family members.'
The selection criteria for this trip is that the employees must have been working with ITC for over five years, that they enjoy a clean employment record, and that they receive basic salaries below JD 500. The trip will be fully paid for by the firm, and will take place within the first half of the holy month.
Excited to have been selected for this trip, Mr. Yasser Ahmad Qazzaz, a member of ITC's Trade Department, said, 'I would like to thank ITC for granting me this opportunity. I have always wanted to go on an Umra trip and now I can finally fulfill this religious duty. It is such initiatives that make me proud to be part of the ITC team, for the firm's administration constantly works to respond to our needs and the needs of our community. I am proud to be going on this trip, and more importantly, I am very proud to be part of this firm.'
It is important to note that this is not the first time that the firm organizes such an initiative for its employees, and according the firm's management, this initiative will definitely not be the last of its kind to be initiated by ITC.
