3M highlights its innovative solutions for structural glazing

To further support this technology in the booming construction industry of the Middle East, 3M Gulf is highlighting its complete structural glazing portfolio during The Big 5 Exhibition at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 28th October - 1st November 2006. During this exhibition, on the 28th of October, 3M's European Technical Manager, Mr. Uwe Manert and Mr. Christian Riquier, European Market Development Manager, will be conducting an informative seminar on innovative practices in structural glazed facades.

According to Kevin Miranda, Sales Manager, Industrial Business, Gulf region, 3M's range of VHB™ tapes is an enabling construction method to achieve a cost effective and controlled bonding of a full range of building materials. The 3M™ VHB™ Structural Glazing Tapes have been specifically designed for speed and performance, and have now been used for more than 20 years across the globe to construct some of the world's most exciting buildings. VHB™ tapes are ideal for projects when time is limited and several different building materials must be joined together invisibly and reliably. The tapes can be used for a wide range of applications including internal and external cladding, structural glazing, curtain walling, etc. Steel, aluminum, glass and PVC can be bonded together using the tapes, creating a seamless finish in even the most challenging build environments.

3M's broad range of specialty adhesives, double-sided bonding and adhesive transfer tapes, and reclosable fasteners will also be on display.
