BenQ outpaced rivals to secure the number one spot in Europe with 12 per cent market share in the second quarter of this year. In Asia Pacific, BenQ aggressively moved up two slots and more than two percentage points to become the number two projector brand in Asia with a market share of 9.95 per cent. BenQ projector's globally notched up market share of a record 8.10 per cent.
It is the best selling projector brand in Saudi Arabia with 25.34 per cent market share and takes top honours in other countries such as Austria (21.42%), Australia (14.74%), Czech Republic (33.87%), Romania (33.32%), Poland (29.58%), and Russia (18.3%). Increasing sales in the data projector segment have significantly attributed to BenQ's consistent growth in the projector market worldwide. The company increased its share of the market from 22 per cent at the beginning of 2005 to take the lead in the Middle East's largest market.
The company's innovative technology and design boasts the world's quietest projector in both data and home entertainment segments as well as the world's smallest wireless projector, the iF design award-winning BenQ CP120.
