The four-day event at the Dubai Autodrome in November will bring together manufacturers and distributors of commercial and special need vehicles, earth movers, and allied equipment.
Key players already signed up include Belhasa Motors, Toyota, Renault, Ford, Chevrolet, Galadari, Al Ghanim, Tata, Shac, Sunwin, Naffco, Al Futtaim, Mercedes, Mammut, Bison, Iran Khodro, Gulfcoen, Naffco, Voith Turbo, Caterpillar, Al Dobowi, Wah Fai, Juratek, Transcover and many more.
Supported by the Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, Civil Aviation, Al Awir Free Zone and the UAE Contractors Association, organized by Zenith Events - Middle East International Commercial Vehicle Show 2006, incorporating Heavy Equipments will present the largest outdoor performance, demonstration and display of vehicles and plant used in logistics, transportation, municipality, hospitals, construction and infrastructure, defence and special needs applications, along with an indoor pavilion of spare parts and accessories.
The show will run from November 27-30 and will cover a site area of 30,000 square metres.
Kavita Dabrai, project manager at Zenith Events, said the event caters to the unprecedented building boom taking place in GCC countries and the wider Middle East.
It is estimated that the Arabian Gulf States will spend more than US $200 billion on construction projects over the next five years including residential accommodation, shopping malls, hotels and holiday resorts, theme and leisure parks, free zones, seaports and airports, and commercial and industrial developments.
'These mammoth projects need the vital support of the transportation and logistics industry, thus phenomenally increasing the requirement for commercial vehicles, earth moving equipment, accessories and services,' said Dabrai. 'Hence the need to cater to this fast-growing market segment.
'Our new show creates a focal point for suppliers and users to experience the best in current technology and provides a meeting place to share needs and solutions. The value of the event to both sectors is reflected in the overwhelming response we have had from prospective exhibitors and from everyone involved in the interactive industries.'
The show will also feature training sessions, workshops, and live demonstrations, covering topics such as environmental leadership, vehicle dynamics/stability, management and maintenance, reliability and safety, and cost effective strategies.
Building boom prompts Commercial Vehicles & Heavy Equipment show
