Avaya brings SMB lead to EMEA

Avaya, (NYSE:AV) a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, today confirmed the appointment of Morag Lucey as Vice President EMEA Marketing. Lucey's appointment was effective the first of October 2006.

She will be based in Guildford, England and will be responsible for all marketing activities in the region, covering all of Avaya's segments, channels and solutions.

Lucey has been with Avaya since 2001 where she has since held roles as the Global Director of Application Marketing before moving over a year later to head up the multi-channel marketing organization for the United States, Canada, and CALA. For the past three years Lucey has run global marketing for Avaya's Small and Medium Business Solutions Group. Prior to joining Avaya Lucey was with both Microsoft and Nortel Networks in senior marketing roles.

"Morag's impressive experience with the SMB and Enterprise segments together with her experience with the channel makes her an outstanding choice for the lead in EMEA", said Jocelyne Attal, chief marketing officer, Avaya. "With Avaya's significant installed base though products like IP Office, Integral 5, Integral 55 and Multivantage she will have a great head start to continue to take share across all segments."
