XPress Telecommunications hosts Iftar and Roundtable event

XPress Telecommunications, Jordan's exclusive iDEN provider of wireless and mobile technology, invited Jordanian media representatives to a media roundtable followed by Iftar.

The event was held on October 14th ,2006 at the Trattoria restaurant of the Howard Johnson Hotel in Amman.

The Roundtable and Iftar were hosted by the newly appointed CEO of XPress Telecommunications Mr. Marwan Juma along with other members from XPress's management team. This event was marked as an opportunity for Mr. Juma to meet media representatives as XPress's new CEO for the very first time, and to introduce them to both himself and his plans.

This gathering was held as part of XPress's long term strategy to strengthen its ties with the media. Commenting further on the issue Mr. Juma said, "We at XPress Telecommunications value the important role the media plays in the development of the telecommunications sector. It is the media's efforts that make our services known to the world. I am confident that this event will mark the start of a fruitful, powerful and beneficial long term relationship between us and those parties that voice our aims and needs of the people. I hope that together we will be able to steer the national economy towards further prosperity, and I thank all who attended this event for coming"

Mr. Juma also acknowledged the efforts made by the local Media towards XPress in the past. He also affirmed that XPress Telecommunications is to create more and more opportunities for open interaction between them and the media in the future. According to him, the company's doors are always open for the media's questions regardless of whether they were questions pertaining to XPress Telecommunications in particular or the Telecommunications sector in General.
