Thuraya banks on satellite phone

Thuraya plans to blitz the satellite mobile phone market with its second generation handhelds, which it claims are the lightest and smallest in the industry. The company expects to sell 90,000 units of the SO-2510 over the next next 12-15 months, while its SG-2520 smart phone, which will be commercially available later this year, is expected to rack up 70,000 unit sales in 12 months.
