- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced that it will be organizing the fourth edition of its popular International Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition in Dubai from February 21 to 26 next year.
The exhibition is being organized in cooperation with the Istanbul-based Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) with which the DTCM signed an agreement early this year to promote Islamic art, heritage and culture and organize calligraphy shows.
He said the event would help highlight a traditional form of art in the Arab and Islamic world. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to the people residing and visiting Dubai to see the selected works of renowned calligraphers.
The rich art and culture of the Arab and Islamic world will be showcased through the calligraphy exhibition, he said.
A strategic plan for the 2007-2010 has been prepared for the Arabic calligraphy exhibition.
